If you could provide us with some logs or screenshots that would be a good start. Then we can work on solving it. I should also point out that we expressly said that updating via the EVE Repair Tool was a Terrible IdeaGäó since it's not download-on-demand capable, and as a result will delete files from your (old) EVE Client that could have been migrated to the shared cache, which you subsequently have to download again.

Assuming I have slow Canadian internet and I chose download-on-demand. Then I come across a new fangled-space-pixels-whigimagee that I don't see because it will take 5 minutes to download.

• Will I still see brackets on overview and in space where the model is?
• And will I be able to kill the invisible-ship-bracket with fire in the meantime as eve downloads the model?

Is this file in "DOWNLOAD" section the most recent - DoD - version?

I have EVE uninstalled atm, want to install from scratch.

I'm currently using a 4G connection through my iPhone's personal hotspot and when I start the launcher it tells me it's "downloading eve launcher update" but doesn't do anything at all. I tried downloading it manually from here http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_2_871265.exe but it makes no difference. I have had problems downloading patches before via my iphone and was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on what's going wrong? It tends to work fine when im downloading it from my internet at home so I dont think it's a firewall issue (I disabled it just in case) so perhaps something with 4G or using a hotspot?

I'm getting the same lag/framerate drops as reported around gates/stations ect. The game's behaving as if it's constantly having to download/refresh models that it already has stored in cache. ccp maek fix plz

When I start the launcher, it keeps putting me into offline mode. My internet access is fine, all web sites and browsers work fine. I tried rebooting the comp, reloading the launcher, and reconnecting to the internet many times. Any ideas?

I dont know if devs still read this thread but I notice a problem.

This character lost all but one skills in planet managment skill tree. He did have 6 planet managment skills read to level 4 and one to level 3.

If somene can help me please. I dont want my char. have to train them again.

Anyone else finding it way, way slower to get in game from the point of putting in the password to grid loading? Feels like a couple of minutes, switching toons is a right ball ache now :-(

There is a setting in the launcher for downloading everything. Restart the launcher after changing it, then leave it running to fetch those files.

Although I did not notice any problems inside the game itself aside from longer loading times between sessions (downloading), when I tried to enable full resource download and hit save, nothing happened. Rebooting the client did not help unfortunately.


(well.. one minor glitch - when entering station quarters for the first time the textures on my char looked 16bit-ish:P.. but after re-entering it was OK)

While in space, if I zoom or just pan the camera there is a 90% chance that the resource loading icon appears and the framerate drops. While doing a mission this happens like 50 times. I don't know what kind of resources are being loaded, but seriously this is a pain in the ... .

Since the Scylla update my laptop gets very hot while playing EvE. I'm sure this got something to do with all the "resources loading" stuff.

As much as I'd like to pay the 700Gé¼ minimum for a new laptop, it's not going to happen. And because I need my machine for other stuff and I'm really afraid of it burning down, I have no choice but to pause EvE until this gets fixed. My heart is breaking

EDIT:

Just found the download all resources check box in the launcher settings. After a restart it began downloading additional resources. I was under the impression having already downloaded all patch data. Maybe this will fix the slowdowns?

I am having wont can only be described as a major issue.

I'm running on a Windows 7 machine

I downloaded the the on demand update and the main update yesterday through my launcher no problem. Then I was able to log in through the launcher and that was successful. The play button is active and when I click it, it changes to launching then after a couple of minutes it switches back to Play. I checked my task manager and I can see under processes the exefile.exe is there and running at a constant 65k of memory and CPU is 25. I have tried changing the priority of the process and still no response.

I tried it a couple of times and nothing has happened. I have deleted my install of the launcher and client and downloaded a fresh version and installed it. Everything went fine. Still having the same problem. I have ticked the box to get all resources and that has downloaded fine. I have tried clearing my cache and I have tried the repair tool and still nothing is working. I am getting absolutely no response from the client even though according to my task manager the process is running.

I submitted a tech support ticket yesterday about it and I included screenshots of the launcher and the task manager, but I have had no reply at all about this apart from the automated reply once it was submitted.

I am sorry if this problem has already been covered in this thread but I didn't see it anywhere.

So if anyone can offer any advice I would be very grateful.

Launcher originally came up with a 7.9gb patch. I restarted the launcher which still gave me a 7.9gb patch. After patching the only way i can get in game is through the exe file. I can start the launcher and it runs through the checking shared resource phase up until about 40% where it flags up an exception and is left saying downloading patch 0 bytes / 0bytes.
